Lavishly applied paint results in a thickness of texture usually reserved for seascapes and streetscapes. With intense colour Pro has portrayed both the harshness and beauty of the outback in summer and the aridness of the area. Summer is the windiest time in Broken Hill, evident in the lean of the trees where the leaves appear to be moving. Yet at the same time the bright red roof, homestead and outbuildings, the tall working windmill in excellent condition and the large concrete tank all indicate a property which has prospered despite the harsh conditions.
