Allison Shaw

Born in England in 1941, Allison Shaw worked and travelled in Europe, Canada and the U.S.A before arriving in Australia in 1968.

She always took her oils and brushes on her travels and endless subjects demanded to be painted. The woods and fields of her childhood gave way to castles on the Rhine and the majesty of the Canadian Rockies – and finally the Australian bush and wide open spaces
Over the years painting became more and more important in her life and since 1970 she has been painting full time.
