Blade Shearers

In “Blade Shearers”, the artist’s rendition of intense colour and form depicts both the harshness and beauty of the outback landscape and outback life where the days can be paralysed by the intense heat. Its toughness is portrayed by images such as the billy can and the hand-held shearing blades and the fleece on the floor soon to be crudely classed and loaded into bins ready for the wool press.

Flowing and dripping with the unique light of the inland Pro, as a keen observer of life, portrays an endearing vignette of shearing time.
